Golf courses

In Quality Hotel Grand Kristianstad's golf packages, you can choose to play at either Kristianstads Golfklubb or Skepparslöv Golfklubb.

• Skepparslöv Golfklubb is the second-oldest golf club in the Kristianstad municipality. The golf course opened in 1986 and was designed by Rolf Collijn. It's an 18-hole parkland and woodland course set in a picturesque location on the slopes of Nävlingeåsen towards Kristianstad. Many holes are surrounded by stone walls, and the course is characterized by ancient oak trees and expansive views. In 1996, a long-term drainage plan was initiated, leading to the construction of several new water hazards to make the course more interesting. In 1999, hole 9 was redesigned to a par 4, further enhancing the course. In 2005, the green on hole 10 was reconfigured. The course is open year-round, with temporary greens and tees available during the winter months.
• Kristianstads Golfklubb was founded in 1924, almost 100 years ago! The golf course was originally located at Rinkaby shooting range between Kristianstad and Åhus, but in the 1950s, the club moved to Åhus, where it now offers two top-quality courses.

The East Course (formerly Åhus Östra) was renovated a few years ago and was ranked number 3 in Sweden and number 5 in the Nordic region by Swedish Golf in 2020. It is an exceptional course, both in terms of layout and condition. The East Course is challenging and requires strategic play to navigate the 81 bunkers that are strategically placed throughout the course.

The West Course (formerly Åhus Västra) was inaugurated in 2006. A significant renovation took place at the end of 2020 and into early 2021, and the course reopened in its new form in June 2021.

It's hard to compare the two courses, as they have entirely different characteristics, but one thing is certain: both golf courses offer guaranteed magical experiences!
