Golf courses

• Championship Course
  The Carnoustie Championship Course is ranked among the finest in Scotland and has a reputation as one of the toughest in the world. The course is steeped in history, having hosted 8 Open Championships, and can be a formidable challenge from the back tees. Certain landmarks around the course serve as reminders of the historic events that have unfolded here, such as Hogan’s Alley on the spectacular par-5 6th hole, Nicklaus’ bunker on the 9th hole, and Miller’s bunker to the right of the 18th fairway.
• Burnside Course
  The second of the three courses at Carnoustie Golf Links, the Burnside Course often lives in the shadow of its Championship neighbor but has its share of historic moments. Ben Hogan famously shot a 70 to qualify for the Open in 1953, which he later won. The course is full of character and challenges golfers of all skill levels.
• Buddon Course
  The third course at Carnoustie Links and the newest, originally designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas in 1979. Built on former Ministry of Defence land, the course underwent a recent $1 million renovation, making it an even greater challenge for golfers of all abilities.
